Arranging First Aid training in North Devon and the wider area has never been easier.
First Aid at Hand Limited are approved by Qualsafe Awards, an Awarding Organisation recognised by Ofqual to offer regulated qualifications. Being a Qualsafe Awards Centre gives you the reassurance that our instructors are fully qualified, registered and experienced and we also have both internal and external quality assurance in place to continue to provide training to the highest standard. First Aid at Hand are a small local business; this means we only use a small number of instructors known to us who we are sure will deliver the standard of training you can expect from a Qualsafe Awards Centre and have come to know from First Aid at Hand. You will also be able to speak to your Instructor prior to your course to discuss any reasonable adjustments or tailoring for your needs. We provide a safe training environment where people feel comfortable not only to ask questions but to share their experiences.
If you only have 1 or 2 people to train check our Open Course dates. These are held in various locations mainly Barnstaple and Bideford, also occasionally in Bude and Westward Ho!
First Aid at Work
This 18 hour course is conducted in your workplace to a minimum of 4 participants.
Offered via blended learning with approx 6 hours online theory followed by 2 practical days.
12 hour requalification every 3 years with valid certificate of 2 practical days also available.
7 hour course can be conducted on 1 day or over 2 x 3.5 hour sessions.
Paediatric First Aid – Ofsted approved
12 hour course. Meets Ofsted requirements.
Emergency Paediatric First Aid
7 hour course can be conducted on 1 day or over 2 x 3.5 hour sessions.
Forestry First Aid
2 hour course covering catastrophic bleed, lyme disease and adder bites as an add on to an EFAW or FAW qualification. Suitable for tree surgeons and people working outdoors.
Activity / Outdoor First Aid
12 hour course suitable for outdoor activity instructors and Forest School leaders.
4 hour accredited course.
All courses are conducted in your workplace. As we come to you onsite this means minimal disruption to day to day operations and reduces costs of your staff attending training.
All courses can be delivered in a block or over a series of days, weeks or evenings and weekends to suit your requirements. This flexibility in our delivery causes minimal disruption to your workplace. Evenings and weekends are also available. All attendees will receive a manual and certificate with 3 year qualification on successful completion.
