First Aid knowledge is a life skill that everyone needs to have. Know how to respond to emergencies – just in case. Statistics show you’re more likely to give first aid to someone you know than a stranger. When minutes count, you’ll be the person to give the necessary aid to a family member, friend or co-workers, before Emergency Medical Services arrive. Having the basic skills could be the difference of saving someone’s life.
Firs Aid at Hand offer 2 hour basic skills workshops in primary care for groups, families, friends and clubs. This is a very affordable way for everyone to learn these life skills and could work out to be less than £10 per head to learn to save a life.
Our 2 hour workshops cover primary care; how to deal with an unconscious patient, administering CPR, choking, burns, severe bleed and placing in the recovery position as well as information particularly pertinent for your group. For example if the group is for new parents baby and toddler care and some childhood illnesses will be covered.
Community groups, carers support groups, sports clubs, children’s groups and after school clubs, new parent groups, social clubs, families – we come to you to deliver these sessions.
There is no assessment or test, just the basic skills taught in a friendly fun way.
Can also be used as a fundraiser for your group or club – contact to find out how.
